Adrian was born in the Eastern Lowveld, South Africa. Adrian’s father, a sugar farmer, had his own aircraft (Piper Cherokee 180) as distances to main centres were vast. Flying became a major part of Adrian's life hence the aircraft bug bit early.
Having completed his secondary education at Michaelhouse in Kwazulu Natal, Adrian was drafted into the South African Airforce where he spent two years compulsory national service. During this time Adrian played cricket for South West Africa and the South African Defence Force. Adrian then spent a season playing county cricket in England before returning to South Africa to study Industrial Design. On completion of his studies he began his working career as a Design Stylist for Volkswagen South Africa.
After six years in a corporate environment, Adrian had the opportunity to open his own airline refurbishing facility and during this time Adrian completed his private pilots licence and acquired a Cessna T210K Centurion. Adrian's love of aviation has taken him and his wife on journeys around the world to places such as Oshkosh and many of the manufacturers in the USA which include Beechcraft, Bell and the New Piper Company.
In the past eight years Adrian has specialised in General Aviation Art and is fulfilling a life long ambition to portray aircraft in a simple yet detailed manner by means of using the aircraft as the subject with a plain backdrop allowing the viewer the privilage of admiring one of man's great accomplishments – “The Flying Machine”
